Quick start
- Install the app, then enter your Freshservice domain, an API key, and your time zone.
- On the Templates tab, create a template , the change to be created.
- On the Schedules tab, create a schedule , when to create it , and attach the template.
- Changes are created automatically on the cadence you set, and appear under History with a link to each change.
Which API key should I use?
Use the API key of an agent who can create changes and read requesters, agents, groups, and departments. You will find it under Profile Settings > API Key in Freshservice. The key is stored encrypted and is never exposed to the browser.
A change shows "Retrying" , what does that mean?
Freshservice rejected the change, usually because a field it requires is missing (for example, change type or a required category). Open the schedule's template and fill the field named in the error message; ChangeCadence retries automatically with backoff.
Does my data leave Freshworks?
No. ChangeCadence runs entirely on the Freshworks platform and communicates only with your own Freshservice account. See our privacy policy for details.
How do time zones work?
Schedules run in the time zone you pick at install. Daylight saving is handled automatically, so an 8:00 AM schedule stays at 8:00 AM local time year-round.
